Console Connect is proud to now offer Layer 2 connections to a new Tencent Cloud location in Singapore.

We are one of the first Direct Connect partners to offer access to the Tencent Cloud location, enabling more access to its Southeast Asia Pacific cloud region and allowing you to take advantage of Tencent’s worldwide reach and suite of products.

Tencent Cloud is one of the biggest cloud providers in east Asia, and recognised as a power player in the Asia Pacific market. Specialising in low-latency applications such as video streaming and online cloud gaming, Tencent have made a name for themselves providing reliable connectivity and cloud services across the world for over two decades.

Console Connect’s new cloud onramp to Tencent Cloud in Singapore, colocated at Equinix SG3 in the heart of the city, allows you and your company to interconnect directly to the cloud while bypassing the public internet. This onramp adds to our existing onramps in Hong Kong, broadening the availability of the cloud in the Southeast Asia cloud region. Connections are available via our point-to-point Layer 2 service.

In addition to specialising in low-latency applications, Tencent also has pedigree in messaging, with its app WeChat boasting more than a billion active users at the end of 2023. Tencent bring their expertise in this area to their cloud infrastructure, offering public, private and hybrid cloud services that are tailored to these use cases, including the following:

  • Cloud Virtual Machine
  • Cloud GPU Service
  • CVM Dedicated Host
  • Tencent Kubernetes Engine
  • Auto Scaling
  • Serverless Cloud Function
  • TDMQ for CKafka
  • API Gateway
  • Cloud Object Storage

However you use Tencent Cloud, adding them to your cloud ecosystem couldn’t be easier through Console Connect. Through their page in the Console Connect app, you can spin up new connections to Tencent Cloud in Singapore or elsewhere in minutes.

If you’ve been considering making use of Tencent Cloud and this would enable you to do so, we’d love to hear your story. Let us know below and continue the conversation.
